So you need some help with your woods?
Hitting the ball well off the tee is one the best feelings in the game. Whether you want to find more fairways, or hit the ball further than you have ever done before, there is nothing that increases your confidence more than hitting your tee shots better. If you're struggling with your tee shots then try some of these tips and see if it helps.
Tee the ball higher...
Most club golfers try to fight their high sliced shots by teeing the ball down lower. This will end up making you hit down on the ball even more and could cause an even bigger slice. Most modern drivers have very deep faces and the ball should be positioned so around 1/4 of it is above the crown of the club. This will encourage you to sweep the ball away with less spin which is good for your driving.

Make a full shoulder turn...
Now I'm not talking about trying to copy Rory McIlroy if you can't physically turn your body as easily as he does. But you should concentrate on making as full a turn as possible in the backswing. If you're a golfer who's a little restricted with their movement, move your right foot back and out of the way of your backswing to help you turn better. You want to aim to ensure your back is facing the target at the top of the backswing.

Finish with your belt buckle facing the target...
Make sure you commit to your tee shots by finishing your swing properly. Most golfers that struggle with their driving fail to understand the importance of making sure you don't hit at the ball but rather swing smoothly through impact to a finish with the form of the body facing the target. To help you achieve this try and swing through to a finish where your belt buckle is facing the target and your weight is completely off the back foot.
